Part 1: Global Artwork Guidelines (All Products)
These rules apply to every custom item we print.
File Types & Resolution: We accept almost all file types. Vector-based files print best, such as PDF, EPS, or Adobe Illustrator (.ai). Image/raster files, such as JPG, PNG, or Adobe Photoshop (.psd), also work well as long as they are at least 300 dpi at the final printed size.
Fixing Low-Resolution Images: If your image/raster file is blurry or low quality, simply resizing it or changing the DPI in a program like Photoshop will not fix the issue, it will just make the blurriness larger. To properly improve your resolution, export from the original design program (like Canva, Photoshop, or Procreate) and re-export or download the file at a larger physical size or at 300 DPI. If you're unable to export a higher resolution file, we can try to enhance it for you but can't guarantee the results.
Color Mode: We print in CMYK. We accept RGB files, but because RGB (screen) colors are often brighter than printed ink, we will convert them to CMYK, which may result in a slight color shift.
Specific Color Requests: If you need your design changed to a specific color, please note the exact color in the Special Instructions (a CMYK or Pantone color code is preferred). We will adjust it and send a proof.
Fonts & Text: We recommend a minimum font size of 4pt to ensure legibility. Very thin script fonts or light weights may need to be larger than 4pt to print clearly.
Design Services: We do not offer from-scratch design services or graphic recreation. You must provide your own base artwork. We cannot create new logos, draw original illustrations (e.g., "draw a carnival theme"), or find stock images for you. However, our art team can make minor adjustments to your existing uploaded design if requested in the Special Instructions. Minor adjustments are strictly limited to things like: adding a line of text, changing a background color, or removing a white background.
Website Templates: The templates and graphics on our website represent our complete library. If your image doesn't perfectly fit a template, or if you want to add your own image to a template, request the adjustment in the Special Instructions.
"Print Ready" Files: If your file is already set up exactly how you want it (with your own bleed and cut lines), please write "Keep file as is" in the Special Instructions.
Part 2: Sticker & Label Guidelines
These rules apply exclusively to custom stickers and roll labels.
Templates & Setup: We do not offer downloadable templates for stickers and labels. We handle the setup for you! Simply upload your image and our art team will size and set up the cut line correctly.
Sizing & Measurements: We measure Width x Height (from the widest left-to-right point to the tallest top-to-bottom point). Note: Diamond shapes are measured corner-to-corner (diagonally), not edge-to-edge. If you need a specific edge-to-edge measurement, please rotate your file or note this in the Special Instructions.
Borders vs. Full Bleed:
Standard White Borders: Our standard white border is 1/8" (0.125"). The minimum border we can print is 1/16" (0.0625"). You can request thinner borders using the options under Special Instructions.
Full Bleed (Ink to the edge): To print to the edge, your design must have at least 1/16" (0.0625") of extra artwork (bleed) extending past the cut line on all sides.
Safety Margin: Keep all important text/design elements at least 1/16" inside the edge to prevent them from being cut off. (If your file lacks enough background image to bleed, we will add the thinnest possible white border and notify you on your proof).
Design Adjustments:
Corners (Sharp vs. Rounded): By default, all rectangular stickers and labels are cut with sharp (square) corners. If you prefer rounded corners (which can help prevent peeling), please specify this in the Special Instructions.
Custom Die-Cut Shapes: We can customize your cut line to follow a specific element of your design! Just leave a note describing what you want in the Special Instructions.
Background Removal: We can try to remove the background from your image! Request this in the Special Instructions.
Part 3: Custom Pouch Guidelines
These rules apply exclusively to custom flexible pouches.
Pouch Templates: We do offer downloadable PDF layout templates for our Small, Medium, and Large pouches. Using these ensures your artwork perfectly avoids the zipper and tear notches.
File Types: While we accept the standard file types listed above, Vector files (.eps, .ai, .pdf) or .psd are highly recommended for pouches.
Color Setup: If your design includes black areas, we recommend using 100% K rather than a rich black mix.
Template Margins & Bleeds:
Safe Area (Green Line): Keep all main content at least 1/4" away from the edge to avoid being trimmed or folded onto another panel.
Bleed Area (Blue Dashed Line): Extend all background colors/content 1/8" past the cut edge to ensure full-bleed coverage.
Pouch Edge (Pink Line): To account for cut tolerance, ensure your background artwork matches seamlessly along the left and right edges.
