The Proofing Process
Receiving a Proof: Yes. For all new orders, we send a digital proof within 1 business day. For reorders, we only send a proof if you request a change or specifically ask for one in the Special Instructions.
Physical Proofs: We do not send physical printed proofs. All proofs provided during the order process are digital. (If you want to test your design in person, please see our Custom Samples policy below).
Approving Your Proof: We will send you an email (and a text, if opted in) with a link to view and approve your proof on our website. You can also view proofs by logging into your account and checking your Order History. Once there, you can select "Yes, I approve" to submit your response. Please note: Proofs cannot be approved by replying to an email or sending a message in the chat. You must click the button on your proof page to send your order to print.
Proof Before Placing an Order / Proof Before Paying: You must submit an order through our website to receive a custom proof. We do not provide proofs before an order is placed. However, you can see your proof before submitting payment! Simply select the "Pay Later" option during the checkout process to place your order without entering credit card details. If you review your proof and decide not to proceed, you can cancel the order completely free of charge.
Checkerboard Backgrounds on Proofs: If you see a gray and white checkerboard pattern behind your design on your proof for clear materials, this represents transparency. The checkerboard is just for the digital proof and will not be printed.
Printing Before Approval (Auto-Printing): In some cases, to ensure we meet your delivery deadline, we may begin printing your order even if you haven't explicitly approved the proof yet. (Note: Because your credit card charge clears as soon as printing begins, your pending charge will clear at this time). If your order hasn't shipped and you need us to pause production, contact us immediately. If it has shipped and you are not completely satisfied, please reach out to our support team so we can make it right.
Order & Design Changes
Changing Order Details: If you need to change your shipping address, payment method, size, quantity, or material, please contact our support team immediately. Changing Your Design & Submitting Replacement Files:

After Receiving a Proof: If you haven't approved your proof yet, go to your proof page and select "No, I need to make a change." However, if you have already approved your proof, you must contact Customer Support immediately to request changes before the order prints.
Minor vs. Major Changes: You can leave notes for minor adjustments (which our art team will handle for you), or the portal will prompt you to upload a revised file for larger changes.
Finalizing the Change: Once you add your notes or upload your new file, be sure to click "Save Response." Our team will receive it and send an updated proof.
Samples & Testing Materials
Material Sample Packs: Yes, we offer sample packs so you can see and feel our materials in person! You can order our pre-made sample packs here: Sticker & Label Samples and Pouch Samples.
Custom Samples (Your Design): We do not offer free custom printed samples of your own artwork. However, because we have no minimum quantity for custom stickers, you are welcome to order just 1 sticker to test your specific design and material before placing a larger bulk order.
Reorder a Previous Design

Reordering: You can reorder using either of these methods, which will automatically add the exact same artwork to your cart, where you can then adjust the product, material, shape, size, or quantity before checking out.
From your account: Log into our website, navigate to your Order History, find the item you want to print again, and click the "Reorder Item" button next to it.
From your email: Go to the Order Summary page linked in any past emails we have sent you about your order and click the "Reorder Item" button next to the item you want to reorder.
Missing Reorder Item Button: If your item doesn't have the "Reorder Item" button, please ask to speak to an agent in the chat, or contact us at 1-800-347-2744 or support@makestickers.com.
Payment & Billing
Accepted Payment Methods: We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal. All prices are in US Dollars (USD), and we do not accept other currencies. We cannot accept checks over the phone or international money orders.
Site Security: Our site is fully secure. We use encrypted connections backed by Network Solutions during checkout, and we do not store your credit card number on our servers.
Paying for a "Pay Later" Order: If you selected "Pay Later" at checkout and are ready to pay, we can email you a payment link or take your card over the phone. If you are using our chat widget, simply ask to speak to an agent. Otherwise, call 1-800-347-2744 or email support@makestickers.com.
General Billing Questions & Payment Troubleshooting: For any other billing inquiries, or if you are experiencing problems making a payment (e.g., your payment link is not working, or you do not see a place to enter your card details on the page we sent), please ask to speak to an agent in the chat, or contact us at 1-800-347-2744 or support@makestickers.com.
Purchase Orders (POs)
Who can use POs: We accept Purchase Orders from schools, universities, non-profits, government entities, and businesses.
Business Requirements: Businesses must complete a credit application before an order can be accepted via PO. To start this process, please ask to speak to an agent in chat, or contact our customer service team.
How to Submit: Email the complete written PO to support@makestickers.com.
Required PO Information: The PO must include the PO number, billing address, shipping address, our name (MakeStickers), the authorizing agent's signature, and the correct quantity and item pricing. If your purchasing department needs assistance setting us up as a vendor, have them call 1-800-347-2744.
Sales Tax & Tax Exemption
Sales Tax: We are required to charge sales tax on orders delivered to Illinois and certain other states based on local legislation.
How to enter Tax Exemption: During checkout, you must enter your shipping address first. Then, check the tax-exempt box on the right side of the page. You will need to select your exemption type, enter your Tax Exempt Number, and upload your certificate to remove the tax.
Forgot to add it? If you placed your order but forgot your tax-exempt form, simply email your certificate to support@makestickers.com after ordering and we will refund the sales tax.
Promo Codes & Sales
Applying Promo Codes: If you have a promo code, enter it in the "Promo Code" field in your cart or during checkout. If you clicked a promotional link, the code should apply automatically.
Current Promotions: We do not have standing or ongoing promotions. To find active sales and coupon codes, please follow us on Instagram and Facebook.
Content Policy & Copyright
Adding Copyright Symbols: If requested in the Special Instructions, we can add copyright information (like a © symbol) to your design. By requesting this, you confirm you hold or are securing the necessary rights to the artwork. For more information, visit the Library of Congress or the Patent and Trademark Office.
Prohibited Content: We reserve the right to refuse to print any order. We will not print content that contains watermarks, unauthorized copies of copyrighted works, or material that is obscene, pornographic, offensive, violent, or threatening.
Refunds & Satisfaction Guarantee
Our Guarantee: We are committed to your satisfaction and want you to be head-over-heels thrilled with your product. If you are not completely satisfied, we will do everything we can to correct the issue and make it right, up to and including reprinting or refunding your order.
